Junming Song beats elimination by smashing out a 74km ultramarathon at night

I had the privilage of writing this news feature (among others) in my role as News Editor for the Red Bull X-Alps website during the 2023 edition of the event. I worked in the event Newsroom every day of the three-week race.
After interviewing the athlete, Junming Song, and members of his support team I told the story of his remarkable feat. He ran a 74km ultramarathon during the night to avoid elimination. This superhuman performance is sure to inspire and impress all who read about it.
