Buttermere Bash | Event Feature

After rounding a corner on a narrow
road, I suddenly saw it. A row of rippling
flags that marked the track onto the lake-side
field that was to become home to around
900 “Basherites” for the next three days. The
Buttermere Bash, a long weekend free-flight
festival held in England’s beautiful Lake
District in May each year celebrated its 15th
anniversary this year, and I went along for
the ride.
